There are two types of liquid face lift treatment:

Most women consider a square jaw to be rather severe and masculine, while an oval shape face is generally considered more feminine and is what women desire.

Chewing on foods such as gum and jaw grinding can result in overdeveloped muscles in the jawline. This is known as masseter hypertrophy or more commonly, square jaw, and concerns many people cosmetically. Ideally treatment should be safe and simple without the disadvantages associated with surgery. Botox fulfils all of these requirements and is a highly successful treatment to beautifully contour the lower face and create a slim, feminine jaw.

Botox is a natural, purified protein that creates a smoothed, rejuvenated appearance and contours the face.

Just 10 minutes.
Treatment takes around 10 minutes. Botox is placed in the muscles via tiny injections using a very fine needle. Discomfort is minimal and brief, most patients describe it as an insect sting for a few seconds. Most resume normal activities immediately. After treatment, it takes 2 to 4 weeks for Botox to begin taking effect and the peak effect occurs in 2 to 3 months.

Results you can expect.
The results will last for 6 to 12 months, sometimes longer, depending on the individual. Repeated treatment may be required to gain the desired change in face shape.

Common side effects.
The most common side effects are temporary including soreness or mild bruising, which can be easily covered with makeup, and mild tenderness on chewing hard foods in the first few weeks. Chewing and swallowing food are not affected. There have been no permanent side effects of Botox reported.

Dr. Chew had the privilege of training under the world famous cosmetic surgeon Dr. Pierre Fournier in the art of syringe liposuction and lipofilling or fat transfer.

There are 4 main components involved in facial aesthetics - soft tissue quality, soft tissue quantity, soft tissue dynamics, and supporting skeleton. Problems related to the quality of the soft tissue are well known to all and involve mainly the skin color, texture, elasticity, stains, pigmentation, superficial wrinkles and scars.

In this aspect of cosmeceuticals, we are concerned about the quantity of the soft tissue with emphasis on the relative thickness and distribution of the individual components with regards especially to fat and skin. In the aging process, there is not only loss in skin elasticity, but also volumetric loss of facial fat that may cause the sunken or hollow look, and a non-aesthetically pleasing appearance.

Choice of methods.
NU•U Clinic offers correction methods with the use of either fillers (hyaluronic acid / collagen), or autologous (self) fat transfer. The method chosen depends on the areas to be corrected, the volume replacement required and your preference.

For larger volumetric replacement, fat transfer would be a more cost-effective solution that is done under total local anesthesia. Fat transfer involves the harvesting of your own fat from another part of the body such as flanks or abdomen, and the re-injection of the harvested fat into the areas of the face that needs correction.

Esthélis and Juvérderm are among the many current brands the clinic uses.

Results you can expect.
Duration of a typical procedure is approximately 60 to 90 minutes and minimal bruising and swelling lasts about 3 to 7 days. About 30 to 50 percent of the fat would be reabsorbed, thus Dr Chew would tend to do an initial over-correction. The effects are expected to last about 1 to 3 years.
