Non-surgical technique to lift the sagging upper eyelids

Plexr is a new non invasive device the uses the ionization of gases in the air forming plasma. Plasma is actually the fourth state of matter, there other states being solid, liquid and gas.

The plasma created by this device forms a small electric arc with sufficient energy that can treat various problem areas without spreading unwanted heat to the surrounding skin thus minimizing collateral skin damage. The device is suitable for use on all skin types.

This form of non surgical blepharoplasty does not use scalpel or laser to remove excess skin, avoiding all risks inherent to the traditional technique.

This form of blepharoplasty is described as "dynamic" as it enables the doctor to ask clients to open and close the eyes during the treatment. The treatment is performed without cutting, without removing excess skin or fat and without modifying the orbicular muscle of the eyelids.

Topical anaesthetic is first applied on to the upper eyelid area for about 30 minutes before the onset of the procedure.

The treatment is performed through little 500 micron spots made with the Plexr at a certain distance from the eyelid skin to enable the perfect plasticity of the eyelid movement immediately after treatment.

Each of these spots sublimates the superficial skin without affecting the basement membrane and without causing any damage to the surrounding tissue. This results in an instant contraction of the excess skin resulting in a plasma eyelid lift effect.

A typical session will last no more than 30 minutes and the tiny point like scabs will fall off after 3 to 7 days.

Depending on the nature and extent of your excess skin and area treated  you may need between 1 to 3  treatments about 4 to 6 weeks apart. Most patients will see a noticeable result after a single treatment although some will require additional treatments and this is subject to your own personal expectation.

You may experience some swelling and soreness in the treated area following your treatment.

Any residual scabs will disappear within 7 days but can be covered with liquid foundation.

We can discuss your treatment and what you can expect during the consultation.
